Frequently Asked Questions
Memo can keep people happy, active, at home living independently longer and take pressure off families and the NHS.
Memo is an AI-powered companion designed to assist individuals with dementia and cognitive decline. It provides reminders for medication, health monitoring, emergency alerts, and companionship to reduce isolation. Memo uses voice commands and wearable devices to engage with users, monitor their health, and alert family members in case of an emergency.
Memo combines AI-driven companionship, health monitoring, reminder systems, and emergency alerts in a single platform. It provides personalised interactions and engages users in reminiscence therapy, offering cognitive stimulation. Unlike other products, Memo integrates deeply with both family communication and healthcare systems, ensuring comprehensive care.
Memo provides real-time health monitoring, medication reminders, and emergency alerts to family members. It also offers peace of mind by tracking the well-being of loved ones with dementia and providing caregivers with an easy way to stay informed and connected.
Memo is designed to be accessible for individuals in the early to moderate stages of dementia. It provides ongoing support, companionship, and reminders. However, for more advanced stages, the level of interaction may need to be tailored, and we plan to continuously update Memo’s features based on user feedback.
Memo uses natural language processing (NLP) or, natural spoken voice, to understand and respond to voice commands. It can engage in conversations, remind the user to take medication, suggest cognitive exercises, and provide companionship. The AI learns and adapts to the user’s preferences and habits to provide a more personalised experience over time. Memo can also be trained by carers to meet the specific needs and preferences of a person in their care.
Memo gathers health and wellbeing data through normal daily chat, and integrates with wearable devices (such as smartwatches or fitness trackers) to monitor the user’s vital signs, activity levels, and sleep patterns. This data is processed by Memo to provide personalised health feedback and alert caregivers if something abnormal is detected, such as missed medication or changes in health status. This information can be quickly accessed by authorised carers and professionals via the Memry Care Hub.
Yes, Memo can send real-time alerts to family members or caregivers if a user is unresponsive, misses a medication dose, or exhibits concerning health patterns.
One great fear of carers is that the user may suffer an incident, a fall, loss of consciousness, or wandering from their home and getting lost. Memo provides immediate alerts and feedback so caregivers can take the necessary actions.
If a user misses a medication reminder, Memo can follow up by sending additional alerts and reminders, either through voice or notifications. If the missed dose is part of a recurring pattern, Memo can notify the caregiver or family member to ensure the user receives the necessary care.
Memo adheres to GDPR regulations and best practices for data security. All user data is stored in encrypted databases, and access is protected by multi-factor authentication. We take user privacy very seriously and will never share sensitive information without consent. Family and authorised carers control all data settings.
We aim to make Memo accessible to everyone, including those with financial limitations. There will be subscription-based pricing for the full service, with discounted rates or free access for families in need. Early bird subscribers will also receive exclusive rewards.
Yes, Memo is designed to integrate with a variety of wearables, smart devices, and health apps. This allows for seamless data syncing and health monitoring, enabling Memo to provide a more holistic view of the user’s health and well-being.
Yes, we are providing multiple language options to ensure Memo is accessible to a wide range of users. Our goal is to cater to a global audience and make sure Memo can be used by people from different cultural backgrounds.
Memo can integrate with popular voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant however this does impact on the very strong security and privacy policies of The Memry Project. For this reason, we developed our own natural language functionality. This allows users to control Memo through simple voice commands, enhancing accessibility and ease of use but maintaining absolute privacy…. And Memo will chat with you the same way.
We will have a functional and reliable Memo service within the next few months. We are already testing it with early users and enhancing Memo based upon their feedback. Over the next few months, we will finalise the features, conduct higher level clinical trials, more market testing, and integrate with private health services. We will keep our early bird hot list fully updated on our progress throughout with a few special surprises dropped in as we progress.
Absolutely! Memo will be available as an app for iOS and Android devices, allowing users to access the platform and interact with Memo on their smartphones and tablets.
Memo’s Care Hub dashboard is best accessed by carers on a larger screen to be able to optimise access to all of its functionality.
Wandering is very common and can cause a lot of worry, stress and time loss.
Memo provides sophisticated geo-fencing which sets off an alert when your loved one steps outside of a designated perimeter, say 50 meters or more.
Memo will alert you and at the same time, will be able to help the user by using clear voice commands to direct them home using Google maps. For this to work, the user needs to be wearing a smart watch or pendant which can be provided as a part of your subscription.
